Dr. Mohamad El-Roz (Research Scientist-HDR, CNRS) and Akashdeep Nath from the Laboratory of Catalysis & Spectrochemistry (LCS, CNRS/ENSICAEN/Normandy University) attended the 9th International Conference on Semiconductor Photochemistry (SP9), held in Madrid, Spain, from 8 to 12 September 2025.
Since its launch in 2001, the SP conference series has become a major international meeting in semiconductor photochemistry and photocatalysis, with previous editions in Aberdeen, Prague, Milan, and Strasbourg. This year’s programme featured plenary and keynote lectures, oral presentations, and poster sessions, alongside a thematic school dedicated to young researchers.
SP9 addressed a wide range of topics, including solar fuels, photovoltaics, air and water remediation, new materials, operando characterization, and commercial applications.
By participating in SP9, Dr. El-Roz and Mr. Nath showcased LCS’s commitment to advancing research in catalysis, photocatalysis, and sustainable energy technologies, while engaging with the international scientific community.
