From 8 to 14 March 2025, the National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF) participated in the International Winterschool on Electronic Properties of Novel Materials (IWEPNM 2025), held in Kirchberg, Austria.

The NHRF worked together with the ESPCI team (I. K. Sideri, G. Basina, G. K. Angeli, A. Kumar, C. Serre, G. Mouchaham and Prof. N. Tagmatarchis) and presented a poster entitled “Engineering of Advanced Nanocarbons for MOF Post-Synthetic Modification.” Their research investigates how functionalised nanocarbons can be incorporated into metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) to enhance charge transport and catalytic activity.
By exploring post-synthetic modification strategies, the study contributes to developing high-performance hybrid materials with improved electronic communication between MOFs and nanocarbons. These advances directly support MOF2H2’s mission to design efficient photocatalytic systems for solar-driven hydrogen production.
