The National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF) team, represented by I. K. Sideri, G. Basina, G. K. Angeli and Prof. Nikos Tagmatarchis, showcased their latest work on hybrid nanocarbon–MOF materials at NanoteC 2024 – Carbon Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, held in Nantes, France, from 27 to 30 August 2024.
Their poster, titled “Design and Preparation of Hybrid Nanocarbon–MOF Materials,” presented innovative approaches to combine conductive nanocarbons with metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) to enhance charge transfer, stability, and light absorption. The research highlights the potential of hybrid structures in improving the photocatalytic efficiency of MOF-based systems for hydrogen generation.

Participation in NanoteC 2024 offered the team the opportunity to exchange with leading experts in the fields of nanomaterials and sustainable energy conversion. The insights gained contribute directly to the MOF2H2 project’s goal of developing next-generation photoactive materials for clean hydrogen production.
