In September 2025, the CNRS Institute of Chemistry (INC) launched a new video series titled “Les projets du PEPR-H2 à la loupe”, spotlighting the cutting-edge research driving France’s national programme on decarbonised hydrogen. Read the original article on the CNRS website
The PEPR-H2 programme, jointly led by the CNRS and CEA, brings together 21 research projects spanning the entire hydrogen value chain — from material discovery and catalytic processes to storage and system integration. The series offers concise, five-minute videos where project coordinators and researchers introduce their objectives, share progress, and discuss how their work contributes to France’s clean-energy transition.
The initiative aims to make hydrogen science accessible and visible beyond academic circles, showing how national research is transforming ideas into industrial-scale solutions. Each episode provides insight into a different aspect of the hydrogen ecosystem — whether developing innovative photocatalysts, designing safer storage systems, or improving reactor efficiency.
This communication effort echoes the objectives of European initiatives such as MOF2H2, which also bridge fundamental materials science with real-world energy applications. By disseminating research to wider audiences, PEPR-H2 and MOF2H2 share a common vision: to accelerate progress toward sustainable, affordable, and safe hydrogen production for Europe’s green future.
